Google Digital Garage is holding two workshops at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on Thursday 22 March.
The sessions are free and are aimed at small businesses, individuals and aspiring digital marketers.
It’s the first time the training sessions have been offered in the city by Google.
The sessions are 9am – 10.30am “An Introduction to Digital Advertising” and 11am – 12.30pm “Answer Questions with Data”. Individuals can book onto one or both workshops.
In ‘An Introduction to Digital Advertising’ participants will learn the main formats of digital advertising including search, social and display, how to develop an advertising plan for a channel and measure success and a practical approach for how small businesses can use digital advertising
In “Answer Questions with Data”, participants will learn the role of web analytics in online marketing and what ‘data-driven’ decisions mean for a business, understand the different insights available through the online analytics platforms, learn how to interpret data and how to take action on it to help a business grow.

The Google Digital Garage project is part of Google’s commitment to provide free digital skills training to everyone across the UK. Anyone can learn how to harness the power of the internet to grow their business, develop new vocational skills or strategise their social media. Google Digital Garage offers a wide range of courses from beginner to intermediate levels meaning that anyone can take part. And it’s all free!
The Company Ltd and Digital Birmingham are working in partnership with Google Digital Garage to oversee free training sessions to staff, community groups and SMEs.
