Freelance Dance Practitioners/teachers wanted for an outreach project in the Black Country.
We are looking for a team of experienced dance practitioners to work with students in local secondary schools and academies throughout the autumn term.
Practitioners will work alongside dance teachers in schools, to develop new performance work, whilst supporting teaching and learning in Dance at Key Stage 4. The outcomes of the project will include the development of an original performance piece for students, which will be showcased at the Grand Theatre in January 2016.
The project will provide practitioners with the opportunity to work with ZooNation, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and Coppice Performing Arts School.
Prior to working alongside dance teachers in schools, professional development training will be provided by ZooNation in the format of workshops. Following the workshops, practitioners will support teachers by providing 10-12 weeks worth of regular half-day sessions in school, which will be scheduled throughout the autumn term with project schools.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend two days of workshops with ZooNation at Coppice Performing Arts School on 20th & 21st July 2015.
Rate of pay: £25 per hour.
