GRAND GETS QUIZZICAL TO RAISE MONEY FOR REFURB

Published : 17/Mar/2016

Last night, 150 people gathered to help raise money for the Grand Theatre's upcoming refurbishment that will see all three levels of the theatre refurbished to include brand new bars and seating areas.

A quiz night was held at the Molineux's WV1 Bar and Grill, hosted by Signal 107's Dicky Dodd. In total, £1,500 was raised towards the upcoming refurbishment.

There were 11 rounds in total, with 120 points to be had. The winner recieved a year's supply of theatre tickets. There was a prize for the best team name, awarded to Team Agatha Quiztie. Dicky lead an exciting round of Heads and Tails and left everyone stumped with an exceptionally difficult music round - radio DJ's, eh!

The Grand Theatre is currently aiming to raise as much money as possible towards the work that will commence following the final performance of Guys And Dolls in July. The refurbishment will take 7 weeks and the theatre will reopen on Saturday 10 September with a spectacular gala night hosted by Angela Rippon and feauring the musical direction of Chief Executive, Adrian Jackson.

Donations are also being accepted for the Grand Theatre's Creative Learning fund online when booking tickets. This will help support the Creative Learning team in providing accessible opportunities and services for local communities.
