GRAND THEATRE APPOINTS FUNDRAISING MANAGER

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has announced the appointment of its first Fundraising Manager.
John Harrison will lead a major fundraising drive for the theatre, which is a registered charity.
The role has been established to assist the Grand identify new revenue streams as public funding for the Theatre will cease during the coming months.
John joins the theatre from the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust where he was the Fundraising Membership Officer.
John Harrison says: “This is an exciting challenge for me and a new focus for the Grand Theatre. The theatre provides an important community, cultural and economic benefit to the people and City of Wolverhampton and beyond. We entertain thousands each year with a full programme of quality shows. We inspire and educate young people in local schools and community groups through the magic of theatre. Our hugely important Access Register enables patrons with special requirements to enjoy shows in a very relaxed environment.
“Public donations are vital to ensure the future of the theatre and I am therefore keen to engage with the local community and to inspire them to support the charitable work of the Grand Theatre.”
