The Grand Theatre is a beautiful Grade 2 listed Victorian auditorium, renowned for its intimacy and atmosphere. Points to consider when booking dark grey or yellow seats are:
The Dress and Grand Circles have a pronounced curve which means that lower and higher numbers have more of an angled view.
Some seats have an imperfect view due to the position of original pillars that are seen as black dots on the plan.
Stalls: Centre block Rows A to E and L to R, Dress Circle: Centre block Rows E & F and Side blocks Rows D to G are particularly recommended for customers seeking more generous legroom.
The seating plan below has the following colour code:
White shaded areas are sold as clear, unrestricted views.
Yellow shaded areas give an indication of angled or imperfect views.
Dark Grey shaded seats are sold as Listening Only Seats due to their position at both sides of the theatre, they offer extremely limited views of the stage.
Please Note: White coloured seats will be seen as Gold, Blue or Pink coloured seats in the booking stage on this website.
The auditorium holds two boxes, situated at the edges of the Dress Circle to the left and right of the stage. Each box usually seats four patrons, and the price listed in the relevant show's ticket information is per seat, all four seats must be brought regardless of how many seats are actually used. Please note that for some productions there may be restrictions on whether boxes can be made available as elements of the production's set may obstruct views of the stage.
Please be aware that the amount of legroom varies. Generally, seats in the Stalls and Dress Circle offer more legroom than those in the Grand Circle. Row G in the Grand Circle is designated as restricted legroom and these seats are not recommended for taller patrons.
Wheelchairs can be accommodated in a number of seating areas, but spaces must be booked in advance. Please contact the Box Office on 01902 42 92 12 if you wish to book a wheelchair space - please note that these spaces cannot be booked online.
