We were thrilled to be chosen as one of Taylor Wimpey’s Charities Of The Year last year.

During their golf day, they raised an incredible £8,500 for Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s charitable initiatives. Michelle Hill at Taylor Wimpey, stated: “I couldn’t have been prouder for Taylor Wimpey to have raised the funds we did for this incredible cause, and it was a genuine privilege to attend the Memory Café [one of the Grand Theatres charitable projects] and meet the remarkable people at the heart of it. If you’re a local business looking for a cause that truly changes lives, please support [..] you will be backing something that brings hope, community, and comfort to those who need it most.”

James Wigley, Head of Commercial at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, added: “Since meeting the Taylor Wimpey team, they have been nothing but supportive of the Grand Theatre and our charitable initiatives. When we presented at their Golf Day, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Thanks to their incredible generosity, we are able to support meaningful projects within our local community. A huge thank you to Michelle, Jamie and everyone at Taylor Wimpey from all of us here at the Grand Theatre.”

This funding will be used to enhance our engagement projects through providing bursary or subsidised places for workshops, and toward our accessible performances, ensuring everyone can experience the magic of theatre.
