Journey - A Black British Puppet Show
Touring into schools in October 2026
JOURNEY: The Black British Puppet Show is a live puppetry performance for primary-aged children, suitable for KS1 and KS2.
The show includes a 45 minute performance and an interactive workshop, designed to be suitable for school halls, studio spaces, libraries and similar.

The show uses puppetry, music, storytelling, projection and audience interaction to bring Black British history to life in an age-appropriate and engaging way.
The story follows Josephine, a school pupil trying to find someone who inspires her. When she searches for Black British history, she is taken on a journey through time by Mr Moor and introduced to a range of important Black British figures, stories, and cultural moments.

Key themes include Black British history, identity, belonging, inspiration, migration, racism, resilience, representation, creativity, community and storytelling.
