Executive and HR Support Officer - 'Part Time - 20 hours per week'

Wolverhampton Grand is a long-established Theatre in the heart of the Midlands. It receives a wide range of major touring productions including drama, musicals, ballet, dance, opera, variety, concerts, children's shows and one of the biggest pantomimes in the UK, with audiences from across the region and beyond.

We are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Executive and HR Support Officer.

This role will provide Executive and Administrative Support to the Chief Executive and a team of Associate Directors whilst also supporting the Head of Human Resources in the administrative duties of the Human Resources Department.

This is a role for an experienced Executive Assistant / Senior Administrator with knowledge of Human Resource practices. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, proven organisational skills and pay attention to detail. The nature of the Theatre is varied and fast-paced, so the candidate will need to be adaptable and demonstrate excellent time-management skills whilst displaying an optimistic, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities include diary management, minute taking, managing the Grand Theatre Business Club process, and assisting the Head of Human Resources in HR Administrative processes, such as sending out contracts of employment and processing starters and leavers.

The candidate must be a confident and strong communicator, as liaising with the senior team is a major part of the role. As the role holder, will also be greeting guests of the Chief Executive and taking phone messages they must be able to communicate with people of all levels.

We are looking for individuals with a CPP qualification or educated to A Level standard or equivalent with enthusiasm and background in Executive Support and Human Resources with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Commercial Accountant

Following a fabulous refurbishment, the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre is going through an exciting period of change. As a result of this we are now looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our dynamic and forward thinking team.

This is an ideal opportunity for a highly ambitious and numerical candidate with excellent communication and relationship building skills. As an experienced Finance professional, you will join a fun and diverse organisation and have the chance to positively impact the profitability of this highly regarded Charity.

The aim of this role is to provide commercial support and analysis to the senior team, deliver budget and forecasting processes and have the capability to give financial insight into business models within the company. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background and will play a pivotal role in the reporting and analysis of the Theatre.

The candidate will be a pragmatic problem solver and be able to face challenges head on and will have a track record of commercial acumen and adding value.

In return, the candidate will be offered a competitive salary and 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
