The Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has been inspiring and entertaining audiences since 1894 through culturally enriching experiences. As a registered charity (charity number 515154), we rely on visitor revenue as well as donations from individuals and organisations to operate and grow.
What we do
We ensure a fantastic theatre operates in the City so this vital form of art and creativity is accessible in this region. The Grand Theatre supports a fantastic on-stage line up with Creative Learning projects to engage the local community, including schools, in the world of theatre to demonstrate the empowering and life affirming role the arts can offer.
Every year, we engage with thousands of people, most of whom are school aged children, through our two flagship Creative Learning projects. As well as this, we work with schools on bespoke projects, including workshops, tours and outreach activities.
Furthermore, through our Access programme, we support patrons with extra needs to ensure our Theatre is well equipped and welcoming for people with a range of physical and mental handicaps. This includes offering audio described, signed and captioned performances, as well as offering an annual Relaxed pantomime performance.
With your help, we can continue to offer a superb variety of world-class theatre for many years to come and inspire and engage with our proud community through education and access programmes.
